We are pleased to announce the invited keynote speakers for EARIE 2013: Mathias Dewatripont (Université Libre de Bruxelles and National Bank of Belgium), Glenn Ellison (MIT) and Ali Hortaçsu (University of Chicago).



Mathias Dewatripont (Université Libre de Bruxelles and National Bank of Belgium)

Mathias Dewatripont is Professor of Economics at ULB. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and his research interests include the theory of incentives and organizations. He has been appointed Director of the National Bank of Belgium in 2011. He has published numerous articles in leading journals including, among others, the Rand Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of the European Economic Association, European Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Econometrica, American Economic Review, Journal of Industrial Economics.

Glenn Ellison (MIT)

Glenn Ellison is currently the Gregory K. Palm Professor of Economics at MIT. He has a PhD in Economics from MIT and his research interests include theoretical and empirical topics in game theory, industrial organization, and related fields including learning, large population and spatial models, e-commerce, mutual funds, pharmaceuticals, network externalities, the location of industries, academic publishing, and education. He has published numerous articles in journals such as the RAND Journal of Economics, Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economics Studies, Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Economic Theory, among others.

Ali Hortaçsu (University of Chicago)

Ali Hortaçsu is currently Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. He has a PhD. in Economics from Stanford University and his research interests include auctions and e-commerce. He is Associate Editor of the American Economic Review and the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics and Co-Editor at the RAND Journal of Economics. He has published numerous articles in leading journals including, among others, the Rand Journal of Economics, Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Econometrica, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Industrial Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization.
